Empowering Homeless Young People In Flintshire

The effects of Homelessness

- Can cause individuals to suffer debt problems
- Increases cost to Government and tax payers
What UsUnLtd do
Work closely with the deliverers of Homelessness services and homeless youths (as they run the Youth led Social enterprise) to
- Offer an environment for social inclusion
- Give valuable work experience
- Build portfolios of skills for each volunteer
- Advise and support volunteers on issues of finance, education and employment
How it helps
Regularly contibuting to the running of the Social enterprise is allowing the volunteers to gain confidence, raise self esteem, improve recognise and utilise skills needed to return to employment, encourages the routine and structure often lacking in unemployed youths, eliminates social exclusion, improves employability, general life skills, prospects and over all quality of life
This project would not have been possible without the hard work and enthusiasm of the young people involved daily in the project. These individuals stand as testament to the vast untapped potential existing within an often demonised and excluded generation
